In 2021, Ball Family Farms Founder Chris Ball and Highsman’s founder Ricky Williams crossed paths at Hall of Flowers in Palm Springs, CA. Though the two met in the past, it wasn’t until that day in May that the idea to work together was sparked. Ricky knew that Chris could bring the heat from his legendary living soil cultivation and that, combined with Ricky’s expert palate fresh off a Ganjier certification, was the perfect combination of expertise to start developing a unique strain to introduce to the market. Over the next year, the two meticulously experimented with Chris’ BFF genetics to find the mix that stood out to Ricky the most. The result– an iconic California strain was born and came to be known as Ricky Baker.
